Why You Should Consider Direct Selling Opportunities

Are direct selling opportunities right for you? Having a fulfilling life, one full of fun and joy is about making right choices. We always have a choice. In everything we do, everything we encounter, in everything we react to. The greatest destroyer of joy and fulfilling life is an IGNORANCE. What we do not know, will hurt us. And rightfully so. After all, we do have a choice to learn! Starting your own business is not different. Make a choice, set your mind, go! I’ll guarantee, you will NEVER look back again.

Lets discuss Home Based Business because this requires the lowest investment, compared with a standard brick and mortar location or a manufacturing plant.

The choices, again are many: Network Marketing, Multi Level Marketing, Affiliate Marketing Programs, positioning yourself as a Jobber, exclusive dealership (will require larger investment) or Granddaddy of them all --- direct sales. Did you know that telephone service and electricity was sold door to door, and those who did made themselves a small fortune.

If door to door selling scares living wits out of you --- RELAX, we do have an Internet today, at which point, your sales territory has no boundaries.

Let's just consider that pursuing direct selling opportunities could be your perfect career.

You should consider direct selling opportunities in your own pursuit of health, wealth, and happiness. You do have options. You could choose to work for someone else, get health coverage, and just try to get along. Perhaps it's not a surprise that this path does not satisfy people who are looking for true joy in their lives. A perfect alternative to this rat-race life: direct selling.

As I said before --- direct selling is not the door-to-door pursuit you may think of, but rather selling things directly from the manufacturer to the consumer. In effect, you become a mini-retailer, specializing in the products you're selling in such a way that you can educate your consumer on how those products should best be used and which ones are best for each individual customer.

There are two basic types of direct selling opportunities: sales while employed as a salesperson for the manufacturer, and sales as a freelance operator. Freelancing offers the best overall deal, as it leaves you free to work out your own schedules and decide what to sell yourself, but to understand how valuable a direct sales representative can be, let's look quickly at one of the examples of direct selling: pharmaceutical sales.

Pharmaceutical reps work for a single drug manufacturer to sell product, but they are highly-trained specialists. They understand the products they sell inside and out, and keep up with all the latest information on them. They have to; their products, used incorrectly, can kill people, while used properly they can save lives. A pharmaceutical rep builds up a client list of doctors and pharmacists, training each one in the proper use of medications from their drug manufacturer, and educating each one on what the latest drugs are, what's coming out soon, and how they can best anticipate these products enhancing patient lives. If a doctor requests something specific, the rep can pass it on to the manufacturer; if the doctor reports that the drug has worked beneficially or detrimentally on something it should have no effect on, the sales rep passes that up the chain too.

Now, very important point to ponder: personally I could not promote present day pharmaceutical industry or drugs of any kind, even if they paid me 95% commission. I am a very much true health oriented individual, strongly believing in the design of our bodies to be build with amazing capacity of healing itself, providing of course that we supply relevant nutrients and the appropriate state of mind.

State of Mind --- The Alpha and the Omega of everything we do. Our present state of health, our financial situation, the education we have or the lack of it, the place we live in and the environment we work within. The things we have, the things we lack, the things we wish for and the things we hate --- everything you can think of is a direct reflection of our own State of Mind.

If you're interested in direct selling opportunities, you can use many models as the ideal for your own endeavours. You don't have to sell just one product, or product for just one company, if you freelance. But you should know everything about that product – everything. You should view part of your role as educational – an informed consumer, understanding the benefits your product will bring them, is more likely to buy it.

Most importantly, you are a mediator between the customer and your suppliers. If your customers are clamouring for something, you can pass that up the chain to your supplier so they can consider manufacturing it. If your supplier finds out something positive or negative, that can be passed through you to the customer.

There are those who view direct selling as a form of work that adds no value. That may be true for traditional retailers – but direct sales entails education and communication, two intangibles that are of inestimable value.

If you're interested in direct selling opportunities, think first about the things you would be interested in learning about – and in educating others about. A body builder or sports fanatic might sell enhancement products that he or she has found useful. One interested in beauty might sell Mary Kay, Pro-active, or similar products.

The biggest of all online secrets: you aren't limited to just a few items. Direct sales online allows for affiliate sales, which have spread to tens of thousands of products from internationally known manufacturers: Sharper Image, Amazon, 1800Florists. With the right business model, you can blend the best parts of direct selling with the best parts of retail, and have a great virtual business that generates real money. Taking charge of your life: there's no better road to happiness.

Last but definitely not the least --- you must believe in your product, trust its effects on the customer, under promise and over deliver. If you can do just that, you will laugh all the way to the bank.
